Root [1st Gen] Stock Kindle App

I just rooted my Fire and got the market downloaded, but i accidently updated the Kindle app. The newest version just doesn't look right, so could someone point me in the direction of the stock Kindle app?

All you need to do is uninstall the update.

Tap the "gear" on the upper right of your screen to get to the settings. Select "More." Then scroll down to applications. Set "filter by" to "All applications." Then scroll down and select "Amazon Kindle" Then push the button that says "uninstall updates." Hope this helps. Neall

I did the same thing. I didn't have the option to uninstall updates.

I had to sideload the original apk. I used the Root Explorer app to do it but you can also get the apk from from the stock rom (which you can get from amazon's site).

It comes in the form of a .bin, Change the extension from .bin to .zip and navigate into system/app/

KindleForOtter.apk is the one that you want.
