Help 2.1 Update!!

if i have a sim free phone, can I use the sony Ericsson companion software to get the update direct from Sony Ericsson?

Sony was? Or online bloggers were. Big difference. People (bloggers) are quick to work off rumors at best rather than actual information.

I am pulling up press releases and blogs as old as June that clearly state it is a 1.6 phone that will later receive the 2.1 update.

EDIT: I just read your bit about as old as june... News flash mate, I had the phone before that so yeah there are SE statements older than march or april if I seem defensive I just dont like being seen as a muppet that talks rubbish if I post it then I have researched it 95% of the time the other 5% Im just posting crap
