Root 2.1 update

My fascinate is deactivated and stuck at android 2.1 when I go to update it says it has to connect to 3g which I don't have or plan on getting. Is there a manual way to update?
 
yes. U have to root the device, put a recovery platform on it, then u can flash(install) any android OS u want. I have 4.2.1 jelly bean on mine right now. :-)
