Now that android has released its 2.2.1 update, i unrooted my phone and went back to stock,then updated it,now my one click root app will not work...are the days of one click root over? how can i root my phone now? please help me!
In the future I'd refrain from unrooting to perform an OTA update. Many times they contain code fixes that patch up the loopholes the devs exploit to get root.
Wait a few weeks and ROM devs will most likely implement it if its worth while.
Z4root worked with my Droid X the first time. Just installed it and ran it and bam i had Root again. You can get the APK off the XDA developers site, or just email me at Jciampi at gmail dot com and i can forward you the file
