Root 2.2.2 rom

Hi, I just rooted, installed custom recovery and oc able kernel on my wifes vortex. My optimus v running I.H.O made that phone look horrible to I overclocked the vortex. Is there any rom out for 2.2.2? Any chance cm7 would work with it.

Hey, sorry to remora your thread. But I have a Vortex running v2.2.2 and I've tried Z4root and ginger break but it is still not rooted fully. Z4 says it "is" rooted but I can't delete the bloatware I am so anxiously looking forward to eliminating. Ginger Break looks like it would do the job, but as soon as i begin the root the phone un-mounts the SD card . . . grrr.

I've re-formatted SD cards several times, tried numerous SD cards, all with no luck.

Any advice or suggestions?

somebody needs to tell us how to go back to complete stock for warranty work. im shocked no guide has been made.

my wife loves this phone but it seems there was zero development for the vortex.
