Just got off the phone with one of the brightet people i have spoken with at sprint and the one thing she did know was that we can get the update for 2.2 TODAY!!!!! headed to the store now.:)
 
Believe it when I see it. I got this email less than 1/2 hour ago. For what its worth she didn't seem to know much at all.

Per our discussion, I was able to get in touch with a technician who advised me that we do not have a release date from Samsung for the 2.2 on the Transform. It is still at 2.1, and we unfortunately, do not have a confirmed date as of today.

The LG Optimus which is similar to the Samsung Transform (without Qwerty) has 2.2 Android. Also the HTC EVO has 2.2 Android (without Qwerty). If you are wanting a Qwerty board, the new HTC EVO Shift is out and has 2.2 Android, it is about the size of the Transform.

I understand that you are under time constraints, so if the 2.2 is the deal-breaker, definitely handle the swap to a device that has the 2.2
 
again.....dooped my another fu*%#ng sprint employee.(no offense) sorry to get anyones hopes up. went to the store and obviously...NO 2.2. said it "should" be a couple more weeks.
 
Maybe it'll be only available at Sprint for a week so Samsung can how many phones they can brick in that time. XD

This brings back horrible memorys of when we were all waiting for Sprint Instinct firmware upgrade.

We waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and then, one day it finally did.

And then after upgrading, we wished it had never happen :mad: Made the phone worse....

Thats how the cookie crumbles though man. Atleast once the source code is released for 2.2 on the Transform we can go all ROM happy if it doesn't work as we planned :P

I'd do it if I was a coder and could help with bug fixes, but as it stands now I can't help and enough people are running Vampirefo's Froyo... If I could help I'd do it but since I can't, Ill wait for a stable build :l
 
Yes, but as we speak Vampirefo is working on the current bugs, and also with his next beta or test... Whatever he's going to call it, you will have Superuser AKA root! Pretty pumped for that!
 
Well I am keeping up with that thread, and once it becomes pretty stable I am going to root, unless 2.2 is officially out. Man I want to move apps to SD. lol
 
Um... the ROM got updated this morning... root access enabled, and the screen isn't too small anymore.... Now its too big xD Man I just want the right resolution and bugs resolved, they already game me root! D:
