Root 2.2 Roms?

Rooted someone's Eris expecting to be able to use an app2sd program.

Realizing now we still need to get 2.2 it looks like. Where can we get stable roms AND what is the process for flashing them on an Eris?

There are 2.2 ROMs available, but at this point the 2.3 ROMs are faster and more stable. I would suggest Condemned cm7 which you can find here:

To flash, boot into Amon_Ra recovery, backup the current ROM, wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, flash ROM.

What method did you use to root the Eris?
