Help 2.2 Startup sound

Does anyone know of a way to disable the tmobile startup ring even when the phone is set on silent or on vibrate. I do not want to root my phone.

i turned my system volume down in settings, it seem to work the jingle doesn't sound when you turn your phone off and on

I tried that, but the phone still had jingle on start up.

with the froyo update came the annoying Tmobile jingle, even with phone muted, or the volume turned down, the jingle BLARES. There is a new kies update that addresses new fixes for a multitude of issues. It does not specifically address this issue, but I found after the update, the tmobile jingle can be silenced - Hallelujah!

My phone had the T-Mobile jingle while turning it on/off when it was fresh out of the box. After upgrading to Froyo 2.2, it seems to still be the same.
