Help 2.2 transform update

i downloaded the 2.2 froyo update for my samsung transform. But why can't i get live wallpaper and adobe flash player?
 
I have live wallpaper. It's very nice. I'm also rooted using the vanilla rom and low voltage kernel. Flash is a no-go, but live wallpaper is cool for about a day, then you realize that your phone used to be faster without it, so you go back to a still picture.
 
Yeah. Stock 2.2 doesn't support it, but you can get live wallpapers when rooted. As he said though it's slow and kills your battery.
 
my transform has been acting up making funny noises and yea it takes like 3 min to boot up i checked my updates threw the phone says it is updated, but also the usb isnt recognized? help
 
whats up all new here.....i just got a used samsung transform practically new, and it says im still running 2.1. next to it it says update, then i go to update the firmware and it says im currently up to date...why cant i update to 2.2
?

Your phones probably rooted, lol. you will need to flash stock and then you can get the 2.2 update
 
from what ive been seeing i dont think its rooted...its running ECLAIR DI11 and ive been seeing people say that thats stock....so if it is i just hold all the buttons down and wait for the stuff to pop up?
 
You probably need to appy the "trick" to let the Google server identify your phone and location by downloading an app/widget or updating an app/widget from the android market. Then, once the app is being downloaded and installed, <back> out all the way out of the market app or hit the <home> key to your default homescreen, hit the Menu->Settings->About Phone->System Update->Update Android

The message Checking for software update. Please wait. will display. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install any updates
 
im an idiot tho, i hard reset the phone and before i tried installing an app i clicked on update android and it was there, i was clicking on update firmware thats why i kept gettin the up to date message already lol
 
No problem. Glad to know you're updating to 2.2.2. Make sure to check out the new features like ending a call with the <power> button (Settings->Accessiblity), moving apps (that can be moved) to SD (Managed Applications) and the new Samsung Task Manager and My Files (File Manager). I still have Astro (very good file manager; can use it to backup/install apps to/from SD, has a task manager to see apps, services, and processes and their states) and ES File Explorer (similar to Astro and adds blue tooth file transfer). You may also want to set Animations to "No Animations" (Settings-Display) to minimize or resolve homescreen redraw and get much improved launcher response (especially stock 2.2 launcher).

"Call Confirm" is a very useful app to prevent accidental calls and if you're into IT networks, my friends and I are looking into two interesting apps "Overlook Fing" and "Overlook Whiz". Enjoy your phone!
 
actually i just ran into another problem, the phone wasnt fully charged but it was plugged in and the update thing popped up and i hit update now, it then shut off and now is stuck on a screen that has the android guy and a triangle with an exclamation point in it, is this because the batt isnt fully charged??
 
I don't know about that one as I've never heard of that warning. Plug in your AC charger to the electrical outlet and see if you can restart the phone. You may have to do a "battery pull" if the screen is frozen and the phone won't restart and see if the phone will turn on and the update resume again.
 
I guess you were already charging the phone ... were you charging it via USB to your pc or through the AC charger to an electrical outlet? Charging through USB takes time before the phone can be turned on while charging. You may have to wait tuntil your phone has enough battery power to see if the update resumes then
 
i just held the power button down and it came back on but didnt resume the update...i then went to update android when it rebooted and then it said i was already up to date, so i factory reset it again and now its saying android can be updated so ill give it another try
 
i was charging it thru the AC outlet...ill have to play around with it and see if i can get it to work, worst case is ill go to a sprint tech and ask them if they can do it

Try using the back port of your computer I had the same problem when I used the front ports hope this will help you
