Help 2.3.5 update error

I am from India and have got a notification that firmwire update is available. When i completed the update via kies, phone restarted and later nothing new was seen. The android version still seems to be 2.3.4 and no glow effects of samsung mmm i can see .
Later i tried connecting the mobile to kies and it says as my firmwire is upto date and no updates available.
What could be the reason??? Please help me

That's not an error,it's just an additional update to 2.3.4 by the sounds of it. Guess you'll just have to keep waiting.

u mean to say that 2.3.5 is not officially released for India rather just an update to 2.3.4 was updated?
