I love my Galaxy S3 but there are 2 things really frustrating me at the moment.

1. I can't upload photos to Facebook when using mobile data rather than wifi (I'm on Giffgaff)

2. When I try to copy text to the clipboard whichever application you are copying from uxpectedly stops working and has to be re-launched and the text is not copied to clipboard.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced either of these things and has any solutions?

  1. I have the same issue with Orange - I just put it down to lack of signal strength. Try reducing the size of the picture. I found taking it at a lower resolution helps
  2. This is a known issue. There are at least 2 threads on the subject - But as yet no fix from Samsung. I'm rooted and don't have this issue.

I have just tried with the lowest possible resolution 640x480 and it still failed. I'm in an area of H+ coverage where I can stream video etc no problem so that's not an issue.
It tries to upload 1of1 then fails then 2of 2 for some reason then fails again.

What do you mean when you say you are rooted?

Rooted means I have super user access and can install a custom ROM - Like the Polish version of Jellybean I am running at the moment.

NOt sure what to suggest for the photo; how are you uploading them - from the gallery then choosing share and selecting facebook, or from facebook and trying to upload?

You don't have to root to install the Polish JB firmware. I am running it now without [need to] root.
 
Yeah, was just reading about rooting, don't think that's for me. I would probably end up damaging my phone!
When will we get the Jellybean update in the UK, is it possible this may solve my issues?

I have tried uploading to FB from the gallery and from the FB app, same results each time.

It seems more promising with using lower res as it gets to about 82% uploaded before failing!

Same here - I'm on GiffGaff. Annoying isn't it. I'm also running the last JB beta (not Polish one) so doesn't look like 4.1.1 will help!

Never had the copy\paste issue though.
 
The copy/paste issue has only started in the last week or so. It's more of a copy issue really.
Wherever I try to copy from be it an email/chrome/text message/phonebook instead of saying "item copied to clipboard" I get "Unfortunately ____ has stopped working" and I have to re-launch the application.
very strange.
I get very frustrated with the Android copy/paste having come over from ios.
Almost everything else seems better though!
 
i did notice it worked once uploading photos to fb , i just asssumed it was bad reception.

i got the copy n paste prob also , it seems to copy it with out any issues but when i try to paste the clipboard is empty/greyed out . its annoying copying postcodes and it not pasting into google maps for navigation and i end up having to type out the postcode.
 
I could understand if it was bad reception as uploading to FB works like a dream over wifi. I don't know if it's the phone or the network or the app that's at fault.

As for the copy/paste that must be a phone issue but I can't understand why it's suddenly started happening. Annoying!

Anyone know when we will get Jellybean?

Why are you even bothering with that horrible app? Just use the browser and yo uwill have no stupid issues like that.

On a second thought, you might have a setting somewhere that prevents yo ufrom uploading files larger than xKB/MB. Where? I have no idea, but check your FB app settings first.

I have tried to upload a low res picture through the browser and I get "unable to load the web page because the server sent no data"
I can't see anything in the app settings that restricts the amount of data you can upload.
EDIT: Fixed now. Spoke to someone from Giffgaff who told me to remove the port and proxy from APN settings and works fine now.
Hopefully the factory reset tonight will sort the copy/paste thing and I can continue to enjoy this beast!
