2 Nexus 7s + 1 google account = 2 play credits?

With all the hassle I've had getting a replacement N7, I have just ordered a new one from the Play Store, when that arrives I will take my defective one to the store I got it from for a refund.

Now, I am thinking about the possibility of actually keeping the defective one for the kids to play games on and stuff (since they'll wreck it eventually anyway).

If I do keep it, will I get the
 
I think you have to do activate it with a different google account to get the other 25 dollars credit. Since you got it once on your account I don't think you will be able to get it again. With the credit you also receive the Transformers movie and the couple of songs on google play so I am almost sure you have to use a different email to get it again.
 
I have two N7's and tried to get the Play Store credit on both of them. They are registered to 2 different gmail accounts --- mine and my wife's. But, I tried to put them both on the same credit card. The app rejected that and then closed. The only way I could get the credit on the #2 Nexus was to restore the unit to factory settings, start the registration process all over again, and then use a different credit card. That worked !
 
Nope. One credit for one Google account/credit card.. If you have a second one you will need to set it up with a different Google account and credit card
 
Ah well. Would be pointless setting up a different account and losing the purchases I have made on this one.
Thing is, I wouldn't be able to set up a new account with a different credit card on the old one to get some games for the kids either cos that device will probably be linked to the account too I guess?

Actually if you hard reset the tablet it won't be linked to your account anymore and you can set it up on a new account/credit card (make these accounts first) and get a new $25 credit for the kids.
 
Hmm, got the new nexus today (which is going back).
Did a factory reset on the "old" one, set up a new account then got the popup saying if I add a card I'll get
