2 Root Questions

1. What is there i can do on my phone to know I have root access?
2. I can see my flash recovery image on my SD card but how do I know that it has all the data in it?

I can click the file in Astro but mesage appears that "File Type IMG not found"

Have I done something wrong?

1. Download a terminal in the market (I used Terminal Emulator... longpress menu to get the keyboard). Type su... if the $ turns to a #, you've successfully rooted.

2. I don't actually know what you're asking. To know if you've successfully flashed the recovery rom, make sure you can boot into recovery mode. If you can't, something's wrong... delete it and re-flash it.
