2 step verification - Is it a good idea to have a trusted device?

Hi

Just wondering what is good and bad about having my main laptop as a trusted device which means not having to enter a verification code each time I sign into an account.

I should add that I use Keepass for passwords.

Is it a good idea to have a trusted device of any kind?

Thanks

I list my PC as a trusted device. I mean somebody would have to hijack that first and then go through the steps to intentionally mess with your gmail account. I have my pc set up with auto lock and password protection after screen timeout so I figure that's plenty ample security. Others may feel differently.

My laptop is a trusted device but I live alone :) I have 2-step for PayPal but that can't be set up for (or I don't know how to) a trusted device but Google can and is.

I suppose it depends on your situation, who has access to it and are if they trustworthy or not.
