Help 2.What?

2.1 so far. It's still months away, so who really knows. It would be nice is Sony had more official releases like Apple.
 
Android 2.1 is now supposed to be released late Q3 instead of Q4. Whether this is from user demand or because they're gonna focus on 2.2 idk. But, it's also been confirmed that, SE have committed to a Q4 release for 2.2, so we'll see :).
 
I sure hope the update will get here by semptember, but for me personally the new update...the little minor one....made a lot of changes for responsivness and smoothness. All that android 2.1 could give us, is multi touch and live wallpapers, maybe a few minor bugs which we wont probably notice.
 
Sony themselves said no multitouch it's a hardware issue. Also as I'm on vodaphone i'll probably have to wait another year for them to get round to 2.1 i'm still on the R-14 version looks like it's gonna be an unbrand or a long wait
 
thing is sony they release the info..and hype etc and about 1year later they eventually release the phone on old FW

apple do a press release and the phone is released within weeks!!

I think its funny how sony are still on 1.6 with an upgrade to 2.0 later this year (Q3/Q4 but prob get it in early 2011) but android firmware is already on 2.2

Why does it take sony so long only then to update...only to an old FW?

Surly it should make sense to update to the latest?
