hi all.

I am at the final stage of a 2012 nexus build for my car. I have rooed the tablet.

I'm running the following setup in car;

External power (battery) to USB hub
USB hub to tablet using OTG Y cable
Digital audio converter (dad) attached to other end of OTG Y ( leading to the amplifier)
Added to the 4 way USB is a DVBT receiver (to receive fm) which is hard wired into the car antenna.

I can currently charge the tablet but when playing audio it comes through the tablet speaker rather than the car speakers. Also the DVBT receiver isn't being recognised through the USB.

If I plug my galaxy s5 into the OTG Y cable I can play music through the speakers but the device doesn't charge.

Any help here? I want to be able to send audio through the charge port and link the DVBT receiver.

Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.1.10-g25ab3af
Timur - USBhost-FI-2013-08 @hexa #2

CyanogenMod version - 10.2-2013817-USBROM-grouper

Thanks.

Pardon me if I'm a dumb-dumb here... This is not a subject I'm knowledgeable in. I'd imagine there is a reason you need or want to play the sound through usb, and I don't have a solution for that, but is there the possibility of using an aux cable with the headphone port?

I want to keep it tidy and using the audio port makes it difficult to mount. I have designed the facia to let me slide the tablet in and out. I wouldn't be able to do that if I had to plug the jack in and the usb cable.
