2014 Big Android BBQ

I'll be there this year. Bought my tickets first thing yesterday :)

I'm pretty stoked about it. I'm quite looking forward to meeting some of these Android peeps I've been harassing on the Internet for the past few years.
 
Since I'm nowhere near there nor have any interest in traveling to Texas, I'll use my $55 admission fee to buy a brisket and some beef ribs and have my own Texas style BBQ here (weather permitting)
 
Awww shoot...I was in DFW area last summer....I have a nephew who live there and he's having a birthday bash this month also, but I'm not able to attend either one!

Haha! We'll have our very own, digital BBQ right here :D I got a few T-bones, Ostrich fillets and lamb chops just begging to be BBQd! I can even get us some Springbok ;) I got a guy with a rifle.

Just been thinking about that actually. What's Texas like for international access and flights? Say flights from Beijing? Would I have to rent a car to get to wherever the barbecue is?

Looks like you'd have to connect somewhere else in the US and fly into DFW. You might not have to rent a car, looks like at least one hotel near the convention center has airport shuttle service though you may need a taxi to get to the BBQ unless you don't mind walking a short (0.3 mile) distance.

I don't live there, don't plan on going, just gleaned that info from a quick Google search.
 
DFW airport is an international airport... You will need a car rental.. This area is very big.. And everything is far

That is correct have you heard that everything in Texas is big . this include the big country path and hills . some places houses are a mile apart
