24/12v charging what are my options

Aquila

Hi I've just bought a eee transformer, what are my options for charging the device via a cig lighter socket @ 24v ?
thanks

You'd need to find a USB 3.0 charger. Regular mp3 chargers won't work.

They also sell 12v(DC) to 120v(AC) boxes, you could plug that into the car then transformer charger into it. ($20-30)

BTW if you charge the keyboard and the dock you should be good for up to 16hrs of use. (DAYS of standby.)

Turn the screen brightness down a little, and turn off the wifi or screen when they're not in use- and the Transformer will run for a long long time.

Thanks for your reply,
At the moment i have a samsung netbook which i use for watchin movies and downloaded tv whilst at work .
Bit disapointing to find the only option open is to go the inverter route. I bought the eee transformer for the same reason i have netbook plus with the added abilty of maps, sat nav and HD

didn't say that's the ONLY route- you just have to find a USB 3.0 lighter adapter.
I'm in afghanistan with crappy internet so can't find one, and can't just go to walmart or other stores.. ;)
