2g - 3g problem, dual sim

I have a dual sim Lenovo p780

THE PROBLEMS:

- card 1 works only on 3G (WCDMA). When I swich to "gsm" it goes "out of service"
- card 2 (which is gsm only slot), doesn't work at all (it sees the provider but has no signal)

I switch between them => same result - first slot only 3G, second slot "dead".

Conclusion ? My phone doesn't support gsm frequencies on both cards.

Any ideeas....

It supports 2G on 900/1800/1900, not on 850. It supports 3G on 900/2100. Depending on where you're trying to use it, that could mean that it doesn't support anything you have available.

I had a Nokia Asha 202 before. GSM only - GSM 900 / 1800 - SIM 1 & SIM 2.
Worked perfectlly with the same sim card from Orange.
So, it isn't that.

My wife has a Lenovo S890 - works perfectlly
