Root 2nd init mod (The CWM Recovery Mod)

well make sure the backup you did is to the external sd card

you press the home key to switch, and it says internal or external at the top


you can try a stock based rom or cm10 based rom

if you flash a cm10 based rom, you will need to do a factory reset becuase the stock files on the data partition are incompatible with cm10 and cause a boot loop

stock i like to stay away from so i will try a cm10 factory reset you mean wipe data or an actual factory reset...i read how to install cm10 and it say reformat? will this format the sd card or the internal?

well the stock based roms are probably more functional

I am not too sure which cm10 rom is the most functional at this point, I would ask around

if you are on a stock rom and install a cm10 rom, you want to factory wipe in clock work mod right after you install the rom, and are still in cwm

and vice versa

This is the 2nd init mod for the LG Motion.

what it does== installs 2nd init recovery script at boot and with the sm widget just add the reboot recovery sh and boot into cwm with a widget. (once set up)

how it does it== this is a modified version of wallpaper bin in /sbin. The script verifies morning call (so no errors) it then runs the 2nd init recovery tar while booting. Once the widget is installed you will be able to reboot to cwm recovery without the use of the 2nd init app.

Directions==download 2nd init mod zip file and place on external sd.
Reboot to cwm recovery via the app (last time u need to do that)
Once in recovery press home to mount external.
Install zip from card and install 2nd_init_mod.zip
Reboot.
Using root explorer navigate to /system/xbin/2nd_init_mod
Move wallpaper to /sbin and paste over original.
Open script manager and browse as root.Then navigate to 2nd_init_mod folder and press on reboot_recovery.sh
Press "su" and "save" and then exit.
Go to home screen and add sm widget
add reboot_recovery.sh widget and reboot normal.

Profit! you have managed to do it!! You can now boot into cwm recovery at any time by widget.

DO NOT USE ANREBOOT OR ANY OTHER APP TO REBOOT RECOVERY OR YOU WILL FACTORY RESET!!

I also see that it states this is no longer needed so I am a bit confused. I dont want to use cm10 roms I want to stay in 100% stock.

this is just a widget for the 2ndinit app and never was really needed anyway.

Why does everyone say its just a widget? Lol....the wallpaper bin in this writes over the whole security error! Drop that in the right spot and avoid security error while you play with flashing home brews. Widget my ass. Just saying....lol....I don't make widgets. I made mods that help...that was in my most professional voice I could muster..lmao
