That is a suggestion I made on the porting cwm thread. We just need the correct lines of code.
I have a second init already working just need the code for CWM to work.
But also need to verify the CWM works as well.

Its a viable option I had mentioned to some others. Koush bootstrapped the Droid X recovery back in the day and allowed for custom roms and themes (minus kernels). Uses a hijacking method and worked well for us until Motorola finally conceded to unlock the bootloaders.
