Help 2x 2012 Nexus (brand new) both difficult to turn on?

Hi guys, I bought 2 2012 nexus 7's from car phone warehouse for Christmas. Everything is great except it's very difficult to turn them on. It tends to take between 20 seconds and a minute trying long presses short repeated presses etc.

Can anyone shine any light on this problem please.

I have several Nexus 7s and I find that pressing the power button for about three seconds will start them, though it takes a few more seconds until the "Google" logo appears. All my tablets have the latest bootloader while presumably yours will have whatever the original version was. However I can't remember the tablets behaving differently when they were new.

It can take a while to boot but it should only take a few seconds holding the button down to turn it on.

Do you mean turning the screen on or booting mate? I got mine from CPW too and yesterday i had problems waking the screen. Its been fine after a reboot. Must be a software thing(?)
