3.2 Upgrade disaster

dt126

Lurker
Well, my upgrade to 3.2 did not go well. I didn't force anything, the tablet downloaded the upgrade on it's own and I just clicked on the start button. Now whenever it turns on, application after application force closes (almost everything, even the system app's). Also, while some people have reported intermittent wifi problems, I can no longer even connect to my wifi router 10 feet away. I'm thinking I need to do a restore system, but before that I was hoping that someone knew of a way to manually try to re-install the update (service mode or something) as it has already been downloaded, the files must be on the tablet.

This was a non-rooted, tablet, just in case you were wondering. Any ideas?

Sorry to hear this, I feel for you. This puts me off on getting the 3.2 update.
Anyone else having similar issues? (the update isn't available in Belgium yet though)
With all the programming nut jobs (the good way:D) there should be some help for you in the xda developers forum, try and as around there.

my only issue so far is the bookmarks widget, if I hit a bookmark the screen dims but doesn't launch a browser

Undock then redock your tablet. It will fix the issue, everyone is having this trouble with 3.2. If you don't have a dock, then change to portrait view, then back to landscape.

There's lots of bugs in 3.2, check out the XDA forum, there's more post regarding the issues. The mouse pointer is not selectable for those wondering.

Mine installed last night, and I thought everything was fine. Then I clicked on the Calendar app (the one that comes with it), and was told it is not installed. Anyone else get this?
