Help 3(4)G and GPS in Europe

I'd like to use my T-Mobile G-Slate bought in the US in Europe - WiFi and 3G or 4G as well as GPS services. Possible? What do I need to do/get?

WiFi, GPS and 2G will work fine. 3/4G will only work if the carrier using the proper frequencies: 900, 1700, 2100. You would need to check with the carrier you plan on using.

Was just in Germany there was no service whatsoever for the G-Slate.
