I've had my Ace since about February. I added a Kingston 16gb Class 10 sd to it, and it has about 13 gb free.
It recently started exhibiting three symptoms. I don't think this occurred directly after a reboot, or install/update of any app.
I have had apps for superuser/root, mainly to try to use move-2-sd type programs, but that was in January, and nothing like that remains on the phone now.
The symptoms were:
1) It would take a long time for the screen to turn on after being locked. The keys would light up, but not hte screen. In fact, the "unlock" period would time out and it go back to lock if I tried to just wait for it to light up. I had to keep pushing buttons until the screen finally came on. Now, this just today seems to have corrected itself after about two weeks, and it was a part of the other symptoms that continue to exist.
2) Auto-rotate/gyroscope stopped working. If I turn on auto-rotate, anything that rotates is stuck in landscape mode. If I go to calibrate it, the blue dot is stuck on the outer ring, between the 2 and 3 oclock position.
3) The folder/thumbnail images in the Gallery are gone. Everything is still there, but I am blind in there. If I tap the screen it will go into a folder, and if I tape it again it will bring up the first image/video, but in "preview" mode I see nothing.
I'm kind of hoping/assuming these 3 symptoms are indicative of a known issue. I have tried google each but I've found nothing that fits my problems specifically.
My basic question is.. Is this something I will be fixing myself with a factory reset type solution, or should I be wiping my phone and bringing it to Telus?
