3 UK - Update

I have just rang three about:
HTC Sense 3.0
and
Ice Cream Sandwich

and the dates in which they will be updating all of our phone. The man on the phone said BOTH will come in an Over The Air update within 9-13 days to ALL 3 android customers who have eligible phones. If you do not receive the update ring 3 and request the update and they will send it to you.

The operating system in the forthcoming 3 UK OTA will be Gingerbread 2.3.5., not Ice Cream Sandwich. That would be quite something!

Although Google have said that ICS will work on any phone that can run Gingerbread, HTC haven't said that they will release an OTA with ICS for the Desire S - yet. If it will happen, I don't think it will be for at least another 4-6 months.

Currently, there are no HTC phones running ICS, but HTC will begin rolling out ICS updates (e.g. to the Sensation/XL/XE and Evo 3D) in the new year. New 2012 HTC phones, like the Ville, look like they will come with ICS as standard.
