Help 32 gb card

Hey guys! I'm new here; trying to find some answers about my memory card. I have 32 gig card, but my Maxx only shows 16 gigs of memory. Why? What can I do to fix this, short of rooting (waiting on official ICS).

Did you have the phone format the card?
If you switched cards, you need to format. Are you sure you are looking at how much memory you have correctly? The internal storage is 16GB, and the SD card should say 32GB since you changed it. They should both say how much is available. Are you sure your photos are not on internal storage?

The phone has folder for SDCard and SDCard-ext (extenal). That might be the issue. You may be looking only at the internal one.

This is my guess as well. If you go to Settings -> Storage, at the very top, under Total phone storage, it will say Total Space 16.00 GB. That's just the internal storage. Look down a bit and you'll see the SD card storage.

Put the card in the phone.I also have a 32 donated from my Thunderbolt. I want to format in the phone, but the option is greyed out. Any suggestions?
Plug the phone into your computer.
Format the drive from your computer.
Unplug phone from computer.
Reboot phone.
This should work.

On that same screen there's the option to unmount the card. Select that and the option to format the card is enabled.I also have a 32 donated from my Thunderbolt. I want to format in the phone, but the option is greyed out. Any suggestions?
