Brand new class 4 sandisk from newegg. 32gb. Acer sees it as 29.71 gb, but won't let me do anything with it.. what's missing? Its preformatted from sandisk.

Thanks!

After much reading and searching, here is what I have discovered. The card is correctly being detected. What was throwing me off is unlike when using a cell phone where you can transfer the apps to the SD card, the tablet OS does not have this feature... Go figure... The only reason the SD card is there is so you can save files, movies, music etc...

I see that there are several apps to SD card programs in the market, and I may try one of them. But, until I hit a wall with the internal storage, I guess why bother.....

Format it to fat32 in your windows or Linux machine, then try it. Or install the app called Drive Mount from the market, it can see NTFS.

I have a 32GB Acer and I came close. Had 5GB left. Had 2 long homemade movies on there. Guess they can eat up memory fast. :P

Card was not being detected, so certain apps stopped working correctly.
(SwiftKeyX could not auto-correct, Dropbox can't open docs, etc)

I just removed the microSD card, and plugged it back in.
No reset or anything needed.

Note, this was NOT the "paper" SIM card under the battery,
but the tiny micro SD card that pops out of the side.
