32gb SD card

Hello,

few days ago was my iPod stolen. I dont want to waste a lot of money, so I thoght that I could just by 32 gb SD card for my phone and put all of the music there. My only worry is just if my phone wont be freezing if I put such a huge card in it. And also I would appriciate reccomendation of the best music player. I have CyanogenMod.

Thanks :)

According to GSM Arena, it should take 32GB no problem. Make sure you get a real one though, there are a lot of fakes kicking about on places like eBay.

A lot of folk swear by Poweramp, but you might want to take a look at Winamp as well.

I dont think the phone will hang, I see no reason why it would unless the sdcard is damaged.

But be aware even a class 10 card can be slower than the original. I am dubious about the claimed ratings of cards. There is some opinions on the net that class 10 cards have poor random i/o performance so something like a class 6 is actually better.

i'm using a 10 class sd card for some time now and it works way better than 6 class sd card that i've been using prior to the new one!

Can you tell me the difference from the stock card to a class 6 and then the class 10?
Thank you

It denotes read/write speed. Class 10 will read and allow data to it the fastest. Class 2 is the slowest, but Class 6 & above should be sufficient for most peoples needs.

I moved my dalvik cache back to internal memory, this class 10 card was noticebly lagging the phone.

the new card still benchmarks slower than the original sdcard on read speeds as well.
