Okay so I wake up every night in the middle of the night and I check my phone to see what time it is. Ill hit the power button once and see that its like 2am and then I will roll back over and try and get the in a few more hours of sleep before I have to go to work. 2 seconds after I put the phone down I hear my loud ass text tone for my gmails. I'll ignore it, then two seconds later the freaking weather app gives me an update.... Then after that a random game I have installed will send a notification... then Ill get a notification from Groupon or amazon..... this goes on for about 30 minutes... Its like my phone goes "HEY HE CHECKED THE TIME, HE'S UP, SEND HIM NOTIFICATIONS NOW". Lol. How do I stop this? I thoight my phone was set to automatically stop notifications after a certain hour. I dont mind texts and calls but I want to be able to check the time in the middle of the night without getting 20 notifications from all of the random apps on my phone.

I have that set and for some reason everything keeps coming through. Idk what to do. Ive never had DND not work. Like wtf is going on. I didnt have this problem with my last note. I use to work for sprint so I know im not slow. Lmao. Wtf is going on.

Turn Notifications volume to 0. Alarm to full if you want that... Also turn WiFi/ Mobile Data off
This happens because your phone enters doze mode. A power saving mode that turns of app syncing, to save power. Samsung may also switch off internet when the screen is off.
When you check the time, you turn on the screen and the phone exits doze mode and all the syncing happens after that and so you get all these notifications...
You may get notifications from apps either from the internet or some apps (like Clash of Clans) use a timer for these notifications... Most of the time, it's form the internet, so just turn internet off or airplane mode on...

Maybe some DND app priorities are inadvertently set?
Odd that with DND on you would be getting all kinds of notifications.

If waking the phone causes the notifications you could try the Always On Display with a clock display. The AOD can be found in Settings - Lock Screen and Security.
