3d EVO will have GSM model

Yep. This is likely where HTC goofed in stating GSM in their specs. I suggest the GSM model will be a European market exclsuive, which isn't terribly shocking. We have seen this before with a handful of handsets. The hero, which was a Sprint exclusive in the states, is what immediately comes to mind.

I'm going with CDMA for the US. Wouldn't mind both though since I will be going to Australia sometime next year.

Maybe this will come to T-mobile as the HTC pyramid.

Isn't there a confirmed model for the pyramid? I haven't really looked into it deeply, so I could be wrong, but I thought I rememberd something with diagonal gray banding on the back (kickstand).

I prefer the gold, but any colour would be fine so long as it comes with news about its arrival in the UK (well ok, not pink...)

Looks like the HTC site was correct. There will be a GSM model going to France.

So... do we think its possible this might be a dual band phone or strictly CDMA in the USA?

It's not that GSM radios aren't in the Sprint Evo 3D. It's that Sprint's disabled them and not included a SIM card slot. Not making it a World phone was Sprint's choice. Of coarse with Wimax's guts I have a feeling a SIM card slot would also mean beefing the phone, as even the kickstand was ditched.

Of coarse if not for the 3D and its compromises a kickstand and a SIM card slot(I doubt Sprint would make it a World Phone/Compatible with AT&T's 2G and 3G) could probably fit in.

Not to mention a good 8 MP camera. From reviews if not for the bad optics covering the lens the 5 MP performs to par with the 8.
