Root 3g/4g files

I am currently running gummycharged 2.0. I was wondering if I can just download the 3g/4g modem files to my phone and install them through CWM instead of doing it through ODIN?

Ok you lost me. So I can, as long as I use Odin? I figured I could use CWM since the files were in zip form. Is my rom alright to put the 3g/4g modem files update on or do I need to have a GBE rom?
 
The modem files must be upgraded through Odin (unless your modem files are back on ED01 or something old).

You do not need to be using GB to upgrade them.

Which modems are you currently using and which do you want to go to?
