3g/4g toggle?

I've been using this one for the past few phones I've had and it still works for the X. The only thing that's odd about it now is that it doesn't back out, you have to bring up recent apps and swipe it off.

Are you finding that much difference in battery life between 3G and 4G? I mean, once upon a time, 4G was done in the software so it actually ate up a lot of battery to use. Now that it's done in-hardware, the battery life out of LTE is actually very good.

Plus, the faster your cell modem downloads the data, the faster it can go back to sleep.

Just curious if you're doing it because once upon a time it was a good idea, but is just habit now, or if you've actually experienced a significant benefit?

In my case I have to use it. The 4G/LTE signal at my house is very, very weak to nonexistent so my phone spends all day searching/switching which will kill the battery quite quickly. I lock it into 3G and switch manually when I get to a 4G/LTE area (if I remember).

I have to do the same because I work in a giant brick dungeon/aircraft hangar. 4G signal is so hit and miss that 3g runs like 5 times faster. Kinda weird.
