Root 3G Data Issues

if you are having trouble with 3g data do not panic, it may have nothign to do with your new kernel/rom, Verizon is apparrently having network issues, be patient, dont start flashing like mad trying to fix it

wanted to update my post with current status, still have almost no 3G data, it comes and goes, only stays for 30 seconds or so....extremely slow when there...unusable....

i wanted to do the data rest thing but i dont have a "spare" phone to swap with. When I called and asked them to do a data reset they insisted i do 100 other things first including a damn factory reset.....i told them to go fly a kite. Figured I would get on their site and do the second method somehow with a third phone....but their friggin website is hosed so I called back to get them to do it via method #2....and their internal systems were also hosed, they couldn't even access my account at all. Got told to call back in an hour, maybe they could help then....Freaking junk I tell ya and they haven't even admitted the first issue.

I think verizon had more than network issues yesterday, my stuff was all effed, voice, data, i think even my fios was going bonkers.

I just wanted to update to say I called yet again and insisted they do a DMU reset. Tier2 tech said swapping ESN from one.line to another and.back would be faster and do the same thing. It worked. My 3G is back and faster than.ever!

bumping this up because i cant believe nobody else here has had this issue, here's the two main threads over at XDA if you care to read into it and see people's methods and resolutions. essentially you can do your own ESN swap and then swap right back which takes care of it.

I had the same problem yesterday, to fix it I activated an old Palm Treo on my account and then reactivated my Fascinate and it has been working fine.
