Help 3G isn't working - Orange customer

Hey all

So 3G has been fine up until a week or so ago - now no 3G icon is seen in the top right corner when I turn wifi off and I have no idea why :S

I'm with Orange, have never been with them before, so maybe I've missed something. A few days ago, I was so fed up that I went into settings to check what was wrong and changed the network to Orange T-mobile instead of Orange (do we have to stay on Orange T-mobile to get T-mobile's signal?), but now, usually even the phone's signal for MMS, etc., has gone - what can I do?

P.S. Yes, it's a 3G sim (mainly black)
Yes, I've tried plane mode then turning 3G on again

Please help, as I'm going away for a few days and I'm not sure if wi-fi will be available!

EDIT: Do I need to allow data roaming (while still in the UK) to use the Orange T-mobile signal? Just read something about it!

You do need roaming activated to use Orange T-Mobile, and your phone will actually say Orange T-Mobile when it's using the T-Mobile network.

As far as I was aware, that was only for 2G though, they haven't started using the T Mobiles 3G network yet.
