Help 3G keeps dropping

My wife and I just got D3s running 5.7.906 XT862. They both keep dropping 3G to 1X. I Googled and came across some old threads on other sites that read like there was a fix.

I checked for a software update and was told that the phone is up to date.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you sure it's not weak signal? Settings-About phone->Status. What is signal strength?

It's at 1X again with a strength of -85 dBm 0 asu.

Edit: Once it came back to 3G the strength shows -87 dBm 0 asu.

It's not signal strength, then. It's probably just a short-term Verizon tower issue. SEe if it keeps happening in a couple of days.

Oh, to answer your question - 5.7.906 is the latest update.

I did two factory resets on my phone and it appears stable now. I just need to do the same for the wife's.
