Does anyone know how this app works? I don't have tethering on my plan so will using this app cause me to incur tethering charges?

I don't believe it'll work unless you subscribe to tethering through Verizon. You can, however, root your device and run one of the Wifi-tether applications from the market for free. That's what I do currently.

Yes. I think it's $20 a month.
