Help 3G Not working WiFi is fine

3G not working. WiFi works fine. When I swiitch WiFi off 3G tries to activate ~ but then the symbol disappears & therefore no data 3G connection. Tried all settings & even took the battery out ~ nothing. Rogers says to do a Factory reset & that will restroe all original factory settings & will NOT convert back to 2.1. I dont mind losing contacts, apss, etc as i can re~input all that stuff, BUT i want to be sure the phone will stay at 2.2 ?

Doing a factory reset will only wipe user data, so your phone will still be on 2.2 Froyo after the wipe.
