Help 3g on/off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i've had my vibrant for a week. i really want to shut off my 3g signal which is working automatically....'cause i ain't got data plan with my phone, and i'm really satisfied with my wi-fi.....is there any way that i can make my 3g signal off securely??

Go to settings> Wireless and network> Mobile network> Network Mode and choose GSM only

Thanks for info...but aren't the t-mo charging 2g also?? 'cause i know that using 3g or 2g network without being data plan on the phone will cost a lot.....so i wanna lock my 3g or 2g network in advance, and use only wifi network...is there any way that i can do that????
