Help 3g on unlocked Ace

I bought an unlocked Ace this morning from Newegg. Newegg.com - Samsung Galaxy Ace White 3G Unlocked Cell Phone w/ Android OS / 3.5" Touch Screen / 5.0 MP Camera / GPS / Wi-Fi / Bluetooth v2.1 (GT-S5830L)

I am planning on taking it to Israel. If I were to get a data plan, does anyone know if it would work? Newegg says AT&T 3g only, but if it's unlocked why should that be the case?

it is the 3G band that matters. NA Ace has UMTS 850/1900 band.

Taking this phone to Europe/Asia, you can get only GSM as there they use 900/1800/2100 mostly.

I did some research, 2 out of the 3 main cellphone companies there use the UMTS 850 band. Would be nice if the phone had the 2100 band as well but 850 should work. Thanks!

What gets me about 3G is that I may be in the midst of a city etc and it says I am 'out of range' when I try to put my tv package on - bloody annoying, don't know if its phone or provider.
