Make sure "3G data" is unchecked under the Mobile Network Settings and turn off Wifi, then turn Airplane mode on for a minute. Now try the Wifi again, but if that does not work you could always try rebooting the phone.
I've actually had this issue for quite some time now before the EL29 update. I believe it to be a "visual" error showing both networks, but I've only found it to actually screw with the data connection on seldom occasions. 99% of the time, at least in my experiences, if both are showing I am still connected to WiFi (a quick SpeedTest can confirm). In the event that data connections have been screwed with, I just Airplane Mode off/on and it fixes it.
