Which is strange ... because It comes up on the available networks ... and when I occasionally get the "left home network" I have been cautious about the possibility of connect to a "foreign" network and the potential charges ...

We all know why 3G wont work on the G1. But T-Mobile users will never be able to roam on AT&T because the two do not have a roaming agreement. I've seen it pop up in my windows countless times, but I always get a registration error when I try.

I have roamed on AT&T for months at a time when I was at college. I think they have roaming agreements for rural areas.
