3G Watchdog is wrong?

Hi guys,

Bit of a strange problem here.

I've been using 3G Watchdog for over a year with no problems. (If it makes a difference I have a HTC Hero and am on Orange UK network)

Earlier today I had used around 20% of my data usage. I was connected to WiFi all day so didn't use any data there. In the last 20 minutes or so I was browsing all the normal sites I usually do and I've never even come close to my 500MB limit (I think about 350 is the highest I've used) but my percentage shot up to 108% which is 540MB.

It says I've used 404MB today. I just really don't understand what has happened - I absolutely didn't go on any site I don't usually, and for 404MB to happen in the space of a few minutes - what would I have had to be doing for this to happen?!

Annoyingly because Orange told me they would give me an 'unlimited' data plan (with a 500MB limit!), it won't show me how much I've used on my Orange account.

Is there anything I can do? I'm kind of worried about how much I'm going to get charged for this - I've never gone over before so don't know how it works.

Has 3G Watchdog done this for anyone before? Is it ever wrong like this?

Any help would be great! Sorry this was so long, I'm panicking a little!

I stopped using 3g watchdog a couple months ago (i have unlimited through att but just wanted to see how much data i was using on average) anyway i noticed something strange sometimes when i would have mobile data turned off and be only on wifi 3g watchdog would show an increase in my data usage even though its only supposed to monitor mobile data usage. (maybe just a bug in the app??)

There was another app i think called Netcounter which is supposed to monitor mobile data and wifi usage.
