Root 3G weak bars after restore

So when I was installing a ROM, I soft bricked my phone and the cwm recovery was messed up to so I had to fix it using odin, then I restored a previous backup which I had done prior to installing the rom.

After restoring, everything seems to be fine, but I've noticed that for my data I get only 1 bar or no bars, but previous to installing the rom and the restore I always had a 2-3 bar signal.

Is there any possible explanation for this or am I just thinking too hard and its not tied in anyway as everything else seems to be fine.

I've only seen that issue with cm7. Do you have the latest prl?

Yep, I updated it after the restore thinking it might be related but it didn't change anything as I already had the latest PRL.
