That's like changing a Chevy into a Porsche - remove the "Chevy" and install a "Porsche". You have to remove the motherboard and replace it with one that does 3G and fits - physically and electrically - into your phone. It's a LOT cheaper to buy a 3G phone. (It's a lot cheaper to buy a 4G LTE phone. Finding and fitting a motherboard into a phone it wasn't designed for could cost thousands.)
