OK thanks for the reply. It might be a Marshmallow thing too. My Nexus 6 always showed a total of 3GB. It finally got the 6.0 download Saturday and afterwards I noticed it says 2.8GB.As I understand it, the "missing" RAM is reserved for use by the GPU, since it doesn't have its own memory.
But that comes to 4.0. As I stated in my response to mogelijk, it must be a Marshmallow thing. Thanks.Add 2.6 and 1.4 together and its 3. It must be labeled incorrectly and a bit confusing.

That's alright. I read yours early this morning and then got my calculator to make sure I was thinking right. Monday mornings are rough. The phone is working fine so I guess it's not a big deal, but it makes me wonder. It does eat more ram as the day goes on but again, that may be a Marshmallow situation.
