Using Personal Hotspot is when you connect your phone to other devices to use it as a modem so they can access the internet. It's also known as 'tethering'.
All our new Pay Monthly phone and SIM-only plans include Personal Hotspot. By 'new' we mean any Pay Monthly plan taken out or upgraded to from March 2014 onwards, and any SIM-only plan taken out or upgraded to from July 2014 onwards.
If you have a plan with a limited amount of data, Personal Hotspot usage will be taken from your monthly data allowance.
If you have all-you-can-eat data, you'll have a set Personal Hotspot allowance. You can check your allowance by going to My3 and selecting Allowance.
