Help 4.1.2 Upgrade is killing my battery!

Hey all

I have a GN2 (Via Vodafone, but unlocked). I'm currently on holiday for a few weeks in Dubai. I recieve an over the air update to version 4.1.2. I already ahd the mutliview option, but the 'flip' option wasn't there.

This issue has now been solved. However there is something horribly wrong with my battery. Even now, I have lost about 35% of my battery in the space of a few hours. I've barely used it! (it's reminding me of my old HTC Hero days )

Any ideas on what I can do? Is there a way I can switch back to to the 4.1 (and my wonderful battery life)

On an unlocked UK Note 2, running 4.1.2.

Not had any issues with battery since the last update, pretty much the same as it ever was...

In the past I've had lots of battery issues with numerous phones and my first step is always;

Download "CPU Spy" (Play store).
Open it, click menu --> Reset Timers.
Press the home button to bring up your home screen, then lock your phone (so the screen turns off).
Wait, with the screen off, for about 5 minutes.
Wake phone, load CPU Spy.
Scroll to the bottom, you're looking for "Deep Sleep". Your phone should have deep sleep'ed for around 3-4 minutes.
If it hasn't, or worse, if 'Deep Sleep' is listed in 'unused states', you have an app or bug that is preventing your phone from sleeping properly.

Tried the app


When I scroll down and look under 'Unused CPU states' : They all seem to be listed 1600 MHZ through to Deep Sleep

If i scroll to the top, 1100 MHz is on around 95%

So does this mean, that my phone is essentially never off?

Any ideas on where to go from here?
