4.2

Just got the update yesterday. Some things I like, others I don't. I really don't like that "new user" box on the lock screen. I will be the only person using my N7, so I wish you could toggle it off.

The other thing I don't like is the new clock. I used the alarm clock a lot, and this new one is terrible. Being that I don't use a passcode pattern on my N7, whenever I would wake the tablet from sleep when it was on the clock app, it would immediately bring up the clock. I didn't have to see the lock screen. Made turning off the alarm in the morning simple. Not anymore. The lock screen comes up. I also don't like that the clock doesn't display over top of my live wallpaper. Instead, its some dull grey background.

Well I was wrong about having to unlock the screen when the clock alarm goes off, sorry. At least that's one less thing to dislike about 4.2

So really the only two things I don't like is the new user box on the lock screen and the fact that I can't see my live wallpaper when using the clock app. Not exactly show stoppers in my book, just stuff to get used to.

fyi, HD widgets now have some locked screen widgets to replace the ugly clock as well as other tools.

Had my Nexus 7 less than a week. It updated to 4.2 and now I seem to have lost the @ symbol on keyboard. Can't find out how to get it back, anyone any ideas ?

Press and hold the / key, or switch to number pad and it should be next to the space bar.

Also, consider an app like swift key. Then you can keep the same keyboard across all your devices.
