Help 4 "battery pulls" yesterday

Yesterday wasn't a good phone day. 3 locked screens, and 1 continuous loop of booting and rebooting.

As soon as I am back in town it's a trip back to VZW. Love the phone, but it has to work.

I've had no issues since the 10th, couldn't be more pleased!

I had one time I had to do battery pull, mine was for my alarm system for house/truck.
But knock on wood nothing else, and love this phone.

Mine's in an endless boot, even with the 'battery pull' it keeps turning back on! It was updating Google Voice when it started.

well its off to vzw today for a replacement. of course i am out of town with no case or receipt. this should be interesting.

the phone will either go in an endless loop of startup sequence, or just lock up with a dead screen. i tried a factory reset, still no better.

If you have an sd card in the device, try taking it out. Sometimes a card with a corrupted file/filesystem can cause all types of problems with a smartphone.

Edit:
I see someone else had a problem where the sd card was the problem in this thread:

Thanks for the heads up. That was the problem. I had switched the SD card from m tbolt to Razr, and it somehow got corrupted.

Works great now with stock SD card.

I was about to post that, then saw you had already.

Had that happen to both my iphone and htc. It was from me setting my email downloads to "all" to get downloaded. This loaded up my phone and it couldn't handle it and did a continue reboot loop.

this might be a stupid question but how do u do a battery pull with the droid razr? What exactly do u do if the phone freezes and your buttons are nonresponsive?

You can press the power button and volume down at the same time for about 10 seconds to shut down the phone.
